Volga-Urals Region

The Volga-Urals oil region is located in the southern part of European Russia. The petroleum basin extends over an area of 700,000 square kilometres located between the Volga River on the west, the Ural mountains on the east, and the Peri Caspian depression to the south. The region is one of the oldest oil regions in Russia. Alliance Oil holds 10 oil fields in the region.

Alliance Oil's proven, probable and possible (3P) oil reserves in the Volga-Urals region were estimated by D&M as of December 31, 2009 to amount to 172.3 million barrels of oil.

Total production in the Volga-Urals region for the fourth quarter was 1,838,973 barrels (1,867,507 barrels).
